Job Title:
Interior Design Assistant

Reports to:
Interior Designer or Project Manager

Job Overview:
The Interior Design Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Interior Designer or Project Manager in various aspects of the design process. This position will be responsible for assisting with design research, drafting floor plans, creating 3D models, and coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with design research and development of concepts
• Draft floor plans and elevations
• Create 3D models and renderings
• Assist with material and finish selections
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and furnishings
• Assist with project management tasks, including scheduling and budget tracking
• Attend client meetings and assist with presentations
• Maintain project files and documentation
• Assist with showroom organization and maintenance
• Other tasks as assigned by the Interior Designer or Project Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm (internship experience may be considered)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of materials and finishes
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift and move materials and furnishings up to 50 pounds
• Ability to spend extended periods of time standing or walking
