Job Overview:
The Window Treatment Installation Technician will be responsible for installing various types of window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies, in residential and commercial settings. This position will be responsible for ensuring that installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install various types of window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies
- Measure windows accurately to ensure proper fit and function of treatments
- Determine appropriate installation method based on window type and treatment selected
- Install hardware, including brackets, tracks, and rods, securely and according to manufacturer specifications
- Ensure treatments are level, operate smoothly, and are free from defects
- Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction with installation and address any concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate records of installations, including measurements and photos
- Assist with warehouse organization and maintenance
- Other tasks as assigned by the Installation Manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in window treatment installation or related field
- Knowledge of various types of window treatments and installation methods
- Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of hand and power tools
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 20 feet • Ability to spend extended periods of time standing, walking, and kneeling
